Marchant Figurematic 10ADX
Mechanical, electrically driven, very sophisticated machine capable of high-speed multiplication and division using a complex mechanism, unlike that of other mechanical calculators.
4 functions - addition, subtraction, automatic multiplication, automatic division.
The accumulator is the second row down and can show a result to 20 places of decimals. The numbers entered can be to 10 places of decimals.
Made in the U.S.A., introduced about 1953.
For an in-depth description of the incredibly complex mechanism of a similar model in this range see "Marchant Figurematic - Technical Description" at John Wolff's Web Museum.
The machine above was photographed on a visit to the National Museum of Computing, Bletchley Park, UK.
